READ the transcription of Valentina’s words in the video:
I am Valentina Scheldhofen Ciardelli
and I participated to the PASS project call
because I read about this call on the internet
and seeing the collaboration between various forms of artistic expression and performance,
which interested me a lot because it is something
that I – as a performer – do very often and
however, I had never actually found myself in the role of a composer
with the opportunity to work on a commission.
And then the second interesting thing was the inclusiveness of this project
because it addresses
and is shaped on artists with disabilities
and is also addressed to an audience with disabilities,
so that it is also accessible for those who,
for example, are blind or deaf.
An important step forward to consider
in our modern times because,
on a social level, it is important to realise that
we have to value everyone for their differences
and I believe that art is one of these languages
that promotes the sensitivity
and values of the human being.
